Bearded dragons are hardy, but nearly every common health problem — metabolic bone disease, impaction, burns, respiratory infections — traces back to diet, heat or UVB. These free tools turn the standard care guidelines into quick answers for your dragon’s age and setup. Each page shows the reference ranges we use, and none of them replace a reptile vet if your dragon is unwell.

The three things to get right

  1. Diet by age — babies are mostly insect-eaters, adults mostly plant-eaters. Use the feeding chart for the right split and a weekly dusting plan.
  2. Heat and UVB — a hot basking spot and strong UVB let dragons digest food and make vitamin D3. Check yours with the habitat checker.
  3. Safe foods — a handful of common foods are toxic. The food list is searchable, so you can check anything before you offer it.
